Digidesign sells 500th Venue console
Digidesign has announced that its Venue live sound console has sold 500 units globally since its introduction in the spring of 2005. With its versatile digital design, the Venue console has found work far beyond touring sound, including TV and radio broadcast environments and fixed installations for theaters and houses of worship.
The growing roster of artists currently touring with Venue systems include mixers of Ozzfest, Beck, Radiohead, Paul McCartney, U2, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Black Eyed Peas, Dave Mathews Band, Barbara Streisand, Shakira, Dixie Chicks, Pearl Jam, Justin Timberlake and Gnarls Barkley. Events such as the Bonaroo Music Festival and Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as UK rock festivals such as Glastonbury and Isle of Wight, use the Venue for its easy changeovers and intuitive operation.
