Emmis Communications recently sold MIRA Mobile Television to a partnership group led by Dale Johannesen, the president of Shooters Broadcast Services in Canada, Frank Taylor, the GM of MIRA Mobile television, and Robb Kirk, a former director of finance at MIRA.
Portland, Ore.-based MIRA, whose fleet doubled with the addition of two Shooters' digital mobile units, will use the newly acquired M-4, a 53-foot digital expando and the M-3, a 48-foot digital straight truck to continue providing remote TV production of regional and national sporting events and entertainment programming.
