IBIS receives orders from ESPN
ESPN has placed two orders with IBIS.
The sports cable network has ordered a SprinTx newsroom automation system to be installed at a pilot project in its Bristol, Conn., headquarters. The SprinTx system comprises videoserver management applications, ingest and acquisition tools, plus IBIS playout applications running with a MOS gateway.
ESPN Desportes Channel placed the second order, which is for a number of IBIS process management tools to work in a multiple videoserver environment. The applications will track the acquisition of sports material and the progression of those video clips throughout the editing and workflow process. Key to this workflow management process are IBIS ServerBase and ServerLoad, both elements of the LiveTx process automation and centralization system.
