“Requests came from our customers for battery and light solutions to replace the consumer types that match the smaller handheld cameras”, said Shin Minowa, Vice-President of Market Development for Anton/Bauer, in a recent press release. “Our new ELIPZ system offers the performance and flexibility required for professional use.”

Using lithium ion cells, this 10k battery delivers lasting operating time while freeing the user from belt-packs or adapters. A shoe-type mount allows one face of the battery to quickly mount to a camera, while the other face’s universal ¼–20 mounting thread is made for easy interface with monopods and tripods.

The ELIPZ 10k battery creates a sturdy camera platform while lowering the overall center-of-gravity and delivering up to nine hours of runtime with popular handheld models including the Sony HVR-Z1U, Canon GL2 and Panasonic AJ-DVX-100 and AG-HVX-200.

Alongside the ELIPZ battery is the ElightZ, the light specifically designed to work with handheld camera batteries without converters, adapters or belt-packs. Its features include a two-stage arm adjustable to a variety of positions and the new EgripZ flexible camera support grip. A lightweight unit providing freedom of movement to the user while sporting the same ¼–20 mounting thread, ElightZ and the ELIPZ 10k battery offer power and support in one integrated system.
