Quantel Asia Pacific appointed Daniel X. Jia to the newly created position of general manager of Quantel China as part of its attempt to localize the company in China. Interest in Quantel's generationQ range is growing in the country. Jia will be based in Beijing, and will report to the regional managing director.
"I believe the generationQ will be a big success in China in the coming years. Localization is key for any foreign company's success in China," he said.
Prior to joining Quantel, Jia was the chief representative and general manager of the self-started digital interactive Open TV in China.
