Former Miranda founder heads up new company

Christian Tremblay, founder and former president of Miranda Technologies, is heading up Algolith, a new company offering video processing algorithms.

The new company, with Tremblay as its president and CEO, was created through the spinoff of Miranda Technologies’ algorithmic group. Its executive management includes founders of Miranda and asset management provider Keyvia.

Algolith will develop and market video processing solutions for digital cinema applications ranging from high-end post-production tools to products for home theater consumers. Algolith will leverage an exclusive license to Miranda’s extensive intellectual property portfolio, as well as access to all technologies the company has developed, to target format conversion and pre/post processing applications.

Algolith's first hardware implementation will be the DT-4102, the next-generation 3D noise reducer that builds on Miranda’s DT-4101.
