Encoda Systems announces new automation system

Encoda Systems has released a new, scaled down version of its proven automation system for broadcasters needing to run fewer channels. The new configuration offers flexible and sophisticated automation at an attractive price point for smaller broadcasters as well as for those facilities starting with a few channels, but needing the ability to expand later. The system is expandable from a single channel to 1,000 on-air channels.

Modeled after the current A7000D-Series, the components of the smaller D-Series provide functionality necessary for playout, automatic caching and system-wide alarm management. Core components include: content and delivery management, ingest and media preparation. The system provides workstations with a consistent GUI for all software.

Workflow module for integrated channel management

Encoda Systems has announced a new workflow module for its integrated channel management system Broadcast Master. The "Workbench" permits business area workflow management on a personal level. Module allows the overall performance of departments, teams, individuals and equipment to be tracked both numerically and visually by station and departmental mangers. The Workbench module will be demonstrated at IBC.

Media engine now available on Oracle platform

Encoda System's Paradigm media engine for scheduling, planning and reconciliation of air-time will be available on the Oracle platform. Because many broadcasters already use Oracle, many users utilize existing in-house IT knowledge to support Paradigm on the Oracle platform.

Paradigm is designed in function-based modules and provides an integrated, real-time enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The result effectively addresses each asset within the business and media management process including; program acquisition, scheduling and finance, campaign planning , deal management, guarantee tracking, material reception, preparation and transmission, reconciliation to billing and accounts receivable.

Upgrade to Encoda Systems Vision

Encoda will demonstrate a major upgrade to the functionality of its program management solution, Vision. Program schedulers can now view and enter data in their own language whether that is English, Spanish, Arabic or Japanese for example. Also added to the upgrade is a seamless integration of Encoda's long-term planning and inventory management tool Visual Planner. Schedules from six months to five years can be imported to Vision. This allows schedulers to manage the program material well ahead to time and avoid over-purchase stock content.
