Communications Engineering Inc. (CEI) has expanded its sales and customer service capabilities by adding industry veteran Chuck Motta as sales representative, outside sales for CEI Sales. In his new role, he will focus on serving existing customers and expanding CEI’s business opportunities with government and commercial clients by emphasizing broadcast, A/V and multimedia equipment sales.
Motta, who has more than 40 years of experience in the broadcast industry, comes to CEI Sales from Chyron Corp., where he was most recently director of national accounts for the ChyTV Group. Previously, he was manager of the Mid-Atlantic region and general manager of the government systems division at Chyron.
Prior to joining Chyron, Motta was vice president of international sales and marketing for Prime Image. Previously he was with Professional Products.
“Chuck brings us a tremendous amount of experience in the industry, not only from a variety of roles with equipment dealers but also with manufacturers, so he has a great perspective on the needs of our customers,” said John Wesley Nash, vice president and chief operating officer of CEI. “As CEI Sales has grown so quickly, it was crucial that we add someone who can easily step into a key role at CEI Sales to help us continue to provide a high level of service, and we are fortunate to be able to have Chuck join us in that capacity.”
CEI Sales was formed as a subsidiary in 2007 to handle CEI’s product sales business.
