Canare appointed Kazuo "Woody" Urata as its new president and CEO. He brings 20 years experience in technology and manufacturing to the San Fernando, Calif. cable and connector company.
Urata, a graduate of Japan's Keio University, brings 20 years of experience "guiding Japanese/American technology and machinery manufacturers to sales goals," according to Canare. "Included in his resume are companies that specialize in fiber-optic connectors and adapters, which is the industry in which Canare see its future."
