Avid has appointed Elizabeth Monk Daley to its board of directors.
Daley is the Dean of the School of Cinema, television and executive director of the Annenberg Center for Communication at the University of Southern California. She replaces Robert M. Halperin, who retired from the board in November 2004.
While at USC, Dean Daley was involved in the creation of the Sony Media Center, the Entertainment Technology Center, the Animation and Digital Arts Division and the Robert Zemeckis center for Digital Arts.
Dean holds a Ph.D in communication arts from the University of Wisconsin and an M.A. and B.A. degrees in theater from Tulane and Newcomb College, respectively.
