Telestream to Introduce Encoding to More Formats, More Places

Telestream will introduce the Pipeline SDI video capture system at NAB2007.

The new network encoder is a bidirectional, network-accessible video encoding appliance providing serial digital video and audio ingest into Telestream's FlipFactory and Episode Series transcoding applications. The company's Flip4Mac business will also offer Pipeline for ingest into Apple Final Cut Pro systems for editing.

Pipeline offers shared network access and is software programmable, configurable and easily upgradeable. Inputs include SDI video and audio PAL/NTSC; and outputs include DV25/50, IMX 30/40/50 and MPEG-2 I-frame.

Episode Series, Telestream's multiformat media encoding solutions for Macintosh users, will make their first NAB appearance. Episode Series is comprised of scalable desktop and server-based batch encoding applications that support an extensive range of SD and HD file formats.

Telestream's Flip4Mac is growing with new Import/Export Components for 360 Systems' Image Server 2000, bringing seamless file transfer between 360 Systems' broadcast server and Final Cut Pro.

Also new at NAB2007 will be Telestream's MetaFlip technology for FlipFactory, which helps content owners meet the unique data requirements of iTunes, RSS and CableLabs VOD workflows, transforming metadata along with video and audio files for submission to content aggregators and distributors.

The company will also flash the features of its GraphicsFactory Version 2.0 workflow automation application. New features in Version 2.0 include audio overlays and the addition of black into source clips to allow bumpers, trailers and interstitial overlays in the graphic layers.

Telestream will be in booth SL9214.
