Optibase Inc. has released Version 2.1 of MGW 3100, a video-over-IP rackmount system that bridges digital video and high-speed data networks.

MGW 3100 allows broadcasters to use IP networks to deliver packet-based video content. The new version of MGW 3100 offers multiple DVB-ASI I/O channel support, giving users the ability to stream to more channels and push more video over IP networks, and a new GUI-based SNMP-compliant remote management system.

Other features include multiple NIC support, which increases the ability to interface to more networks or networks with larger throughput, and a gigabit Ethernet optical fiber GNIC support.

Existing MGW 3100 v.2.0 customers can receive the upgrade for free.
