Blackmagic Design Now Does Windows

Blackmagic Design, the Australia-based manufacturer of computer input cards, announced that its standard-definition products support Windows XP, as well as interoperability with Adobe Premiere Pro NLE software. The company also promises full compatibility with Microsoft DirectShow-based applications, such as Adobe After Effects and Discreet combustion.

In addition to compatibility with Windows, the Blackmagic Design DeckLink includes an RS422 control port and Sony-compatible serial control protocol plugins to give the computer control of a VCR or camcorder. DeckLink uses uncompressed 10-bit video for standard-definition input and output, and is also compatible with Apple Macintosh OS X.
