MUNICH—Battery manufacturer bebob has expanded its Vmicro lineup with new models featuring USB-C PD3 support, advanced communication protocols and sustainable serviceability.
The new VmicroC batteries are designed to deliver high performance in an ultra-compact and lightweight form factor, making them the well-suited to mobile production environments where space and weight are critical.
With USB-C PD3 support for both input and output, users can charge and power devices without the need for a proprietary charger, ensuring maximum flexibility on set and during travel.
The VmicroC’s advanced auto communication setup enables the batteries to adapt automatically to different camera systems, including Sony, Blackmagic Design, Red, Fuji, Arri and others. SM-Bus communication and a practical five-step LED display give users a clear and reliable indication of both the state of charge and the state of health of the batteries at all times.
The batteries also feature special operational functions, such as an integrated flashlight for quick use in dark environments. Their optimized storage design allows the batteries to be stacked safely and efficiently, making transport and storage more practical for production teams.
The entire product range is fully certified for safety according to international standards. This includes IEC 62133-2 for product safety, UN38.3 for transport safety as well as FCC and CE certifications for electromagnetic compatibility. The batteries also conform to CE, UKCA and other relevant directives, ensuring reliable and secure operation worldwide.
The company developed the new lineup with serviceability and sustainability in mind. Each model is repairable and maintenance-capable, and through a cell pack refreshment process the batteries can be given a second life, reducing waste and extending long-term usability.
