HPA Opens Call for Award Entries

HPA has opened its call for entries of the HPA Awards Innovation & Technology that will be given out at a ceremony on February 18, 2027 at the HPA Tech Retreat.

Entries are invited in five categories:

  • Innovation in Pre-Production
  • Innovation in Production & Capture
  • Innovation in VFX, Virtual Production & Animation
  • Innovation in Post-Production
  • Innovation in Distribution & Audience Experience

Entries will be evaluated by an expert judging panels based on innovation, industry impact, technical merit, and adoption readiness, HPA reported.

Submissions are due on October 2, 2026 with judging panels and interviews taking place December 7–11, 2026. Nominees will be announced in January of 2027.
