Vertigo XG graphics processor offers effective HD/SD simulcasting

Miranda Technologies will highlight its Vertigo XG channel branding graphics processor for HD/SD simulcasting next month in Amsterdam at IBC2006.

The Vertigo XG features dual independent HD and SD outputs and integral up/down/crossconversion within a single platform. This allows a station's programming to be format-converted and then independently branded in SD and HD at either 1080i or 720p. The Vertigo XG's dual, independent branding engines ensure that the HD and SD outputs are free of aspect ratio compromises.

With the Vertigo XG, stations can simulcast HD and SD channels more easily, with independent HD and SD channel branding graphics played out by a single device, and driven by a single automation playlist.
