Post-NAB Coverage — Miranda, Nvision Partner for Multi-Image Routing System
By TVTechnology published
Miranda Technologies and Nvision have joined forces to create what is billed as the "largest ever, high-quality multi-image/routing system."
Nvision's NV8576 large matrix multiformat router was paired with 16 of Miranda's Kaleido-X multiviewer frames to create a system capable of accommodating as many as 1,152 sources and providing 128 multi-image display outputs.
"A key strength of this cost-effective system is the flexibility to choose between router outputs and multi-image outputs, which is easily done by adjusting the quantity of router output modules and multi-viewer interconnect modules fitted to the router," said Chuck Meyer, Nvision president and CEO. "This offers the ability to scale the system to suit individual users, while also providing an easy growth path for the future."
The system is capable of 3 Gbps operation and control is provided via IP. Source names for individual displays are obtained. ©2008 NAB
