ParkerVision's PVTV News Moves Into a Major Market at KMGH

ABC affiliate KMGH in Denver installed a ParkerVision PVTV News CR4000 production automation system for all of the station's news broadcasts. The system is now on the air in Denver, joining sister McGraw-Hill stations WRTV (Indianapolis), KGTV (San Diego) and KERO (Bakersfield, Calif.) in producing news with ParkerVision production automation systems.

KMGH is the first station to implement the CR4000 news automation system, which was designed specifically for the demands of major-market news broadcasts. Taking a cautious approach, the station began using the ParkerVision system for its morning and afternoon newscasts, and then transitioned to the prime-time newscast.

The ParkerVision PVTV News CR4000 lets a single operator control cameras, switching, audio, graphics and keying from a highly automated user interface. Based in Jacksonville, Fla., ParkerVision manufactures studio automation products, including cameras, pan/tilt systems and automation software.
