Harris has completed its acquisition of Leitch for a cash price of $14 per share. Total cash paid by Harris, net of Leitch's cash on hand, was approximately $450 million, as was expected, according to the Sept. 2 News Bytes article.
Harris will add all Leitch products--routers and distribution gear, branding software and post-production editing systems--to its broadcast portfolio. The combined portfolio serves digital audio, video and data content markets. Leitch currently serves approximately 3,000 television service providers in 100 countries.
