Ligos will show MediaRig, its PC-based real time MPEG-2 encoding system for DTV applications, MediaRig, at IBC, Sept. 11-16 in Amsterdam.
MediaRig is an end-user software application that is paired with a PCI ingest card for input of analog and digital NTSC/PAL formats. It's suitable for use in acquisition, contribution, transmission and distribution.
The encoder can simultaneously encode two programs, and output of MPEG-2 TS to DVB-ASI, UDP multicast via IP, or to file is standard. It's designed to be a low latency ATSC/DVB-compliant encoder and supports Dolby Digital (AC-3) and 2-channel audio, static PSIP and PSI/SI control tables, closed captioning and multiple program transport streams.
Ligos will be in Stand 1.511.
