ION Media Networks Appoints Brett Jenkins to New Position

ION Media Networks Inc. has appointed broadcast technology veteran Brett Jenkins to the newly created post of director of technology strategy and development.

In his new role, Jenkins supports ION’s development and evaluation of advanced television technology business models. “We’re focused on developing new digital and mobile channels for ION’s expanding, quality content,” said Brandon Burgess, CEO of ION Media Networks. “Brett’s experience will help us fulfill our mission for exponential innovation and growth.”

Jenkins comes to ION with over a decade of engineering and business management experience. He worked his way through the ranks of Thomson Broadcast & Multimedia Inc., and most recently held the position of TV Transmission U.S. product manager. Previously, he served as vice president of engineering and business development.
