Axon, a Netherlands-based manufacturer of video processing technology, has named Houston Harding as the company’s director of USA sales.
"We are very pleased that we have been able to get Houston on board to handle our USA sales, said Harry Kanters, Axon’s vice president of marketing and sales. "Houston was already familiar with Axon and out product lines through his previous sales activities. He will work directly with Johan Lieffers, director of sales for the Americas, who has a strong knowledge of our previous product lines through his European sales activities for Axon."
Axon had previously sold its products in the United States through a partnership with Nvision, but that ended with the acquisition of Nvision by Miranda in 2008. Axon has been selling directly into the U.S. marketplace since early this year.
Harding is a veteran in the broadcasting sales industry, having previously been the senior account manager for Grass Valley, as well as eastern regional manager for Pinnacle Systems, and most recently the mid-Atlantic regional manager for Nvision.
