FMC opens new office

Future Media Concepts, the manufacturer-authorized digital media training center, is opening new locations in Miami and Orlando, Fla.

The new locations join FMC’s four other branches in New York, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, DC.

FMC is also viewing the Florida area as a potential source of new business from production professionals in neighboring South American countries. FMC plans to offer Spanish-speaking instructors and classroom materials. Classes will begin this November.

FMC’s Florida branches will offer a similar curriculum as the other locations, including technologies from companies such as Avid, Apple, Macromedia, Adobe, NewTek and Boris.

In addition to the new office, FMC recently hired Amanda MacFadgen, who has joined FMC to direct and manage the new locations’ growth strategies.

MacFadgen will also work with local students, helping high school and even junior high school students learn about the video and broadcast production industries, and giving them the background and the knowledge they need in order to make informed career decisions.
