Camera equipment vendor Fletcher Chicago is shifting exclusively to the production rental business, including equipment and production office space.
The move follows the sales of its camera sales operation to Abel Cine Tech, a vendor with offices in New York and Los Angeles, and a $1.5 million to expansion if its rental division and the redesign of over 3,000 square feet of production rental offices.
Fletcher’s change is in answer to the increased activity in the Chicago production community, the company said.
“By focusing exclusively on rental, we’re able to offer our clients the best options in today’s changing technology and production support,” said Tom Fletcher, vice president and owner.
As part of the transition, Kari Hess, longtime Fletcher sales manager, will head the Midwest region for Abel Cine Tech.
