Turner Broadcasting System upgrades training facility with Miranda master control switchers

Turner Broadcasting System has upgraded its operator training facility by installing eight Miranda Technologies NV5100MC master control switcher systems. The training facility is located in the Broadcast Operating Center at the company’s midtown Atlanta campus.

The Atlanta facility provides offline and on-air training for new operators, using the latest HD equipment, and it also serves as a back-up master control facility. The facility provides three offline training positions and two on-air control positions with redundant A and B chains.

Miranda’s NV5100MC master control switching system is well suited for national and regional broadcasters, requiring effective manual intervention during playout. This modular master control system is available with a range of control panels, and offers integration with NVISION and third-party routers.

The master control switcher provides integral channel branding and effective multichannel audio control with Dolby E decoding. For the most advanced channel branding and promo graphics, the switcher can be fully integrated with Miranda’s Intuition-XG graphics co-processor.
