Telestream at NAB2008 will roll out its FlipFactory New Media, a server software application that automates high-volume media transcoding for distribution to mobile and other devices.
FlipFactory New Media automatically ingests source media and metadata files, transcodes them between a number of video, audio, metadata and wrapper formats and delivers them to distribution servers for the final distribution to new media users. Most major source formats are supported, as well as the WMV/VC-1, H.264, Flash, 3GPP, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Real, QT, MP3, AAC and WAV Web and mobile formats, among others.
