Sachtler to Launch LED Camera Lighting System
By TVTechnology published
Sachtler Camera Dynamics will launch a first-ever camera LED luminaire with an input power of 8 W that produces a light output of 250 lumens. The new luminaire’s input voltage range of 6 to 24 V makes it suitable for a range of cameras, from small 7.2 V (H)DV cameras to commonly-used broadcast camcorders.
The standard LED luminaire is available as a daylight version, yet an exchangeable LED module let camera operators switch to tungsten light. Rotatable four-leaf barndoor frames can be removed with a quick-release mechanism for lens changes.
The compact LED luminaire is 8 cm (3.15 inches) long with a cross-section (sans barndoors) of 5.2 x 5.2 cm (2.4 x 2.4 inches) and a total weight of under 0.4 kg (0.9 lb). The luminaire handles storage temperatures from –40 to +60 degrees C (-40 to +140 degrees F) and operating temperatures of -25 to +40 degrees C (-13 to +108 degrees F). The double hinge mounting system has a camera shoe or quarter-inch threaded screw.
