NBC Universal to rely on Miranda Technologies iControl

NBC Universal has signed an agreement with Miranda Technologies to provide the primary signal and facility monitoring system for its broadcast facilities, using the company’s SNMP-based iControl system.

Miranda will provide NBCU with technology to support systems monitoring for many of its facilities across the country. The agreement includes monitoring of the transmission facilities, the core routing systems, control rooms, editing suites, and new media operations. The iControl system will monitor third-party and Miranda equipment.

NBC's iControl system will have three core functions: operations, monitoring and maintenance.
