Makayama announces Pocket Live TV 1.0
Dutch software company Makayama has developed Pocket Live TV 1.0, software that allows users to watch live television content from their Pocket PCs. The software requires WiFi or 3G connectivity.
Using a two-touch interface to stream television from the Internet, the system provides access to content from 100 channels, including CNN, the BBC, Sky News, MTV, the Baseball Channel and the Weather Channel, among others. The service is free after the initial purchase of the software. In addition to WiFi and 3G, it also works with UMTS, WCDMA, EvDO, EDGE and other wideband-enabled Pocket PCs.
