Leitch Technology Corp recently launched its VRMediaNet, an integrated data management system for use with the VRNet server platform
VRMediaNet manages files in single and multiple server domains. It is a multitier server/client architecture with an integrated database view of on-line, near-line, off-line and low-proxy for managing assets. It is based on Windows 2000 and SQL Server 2000.
It features logical and physical assets viewing, partitioning of storage, search and sort tools, security mechanisms, rights and restriction management and Business Rules programming designed to improve workflow processes automatically.
