Leitch Technology recently released NewsFlash Preditor, a low-resolution browsing module for the company's Nexio server platform. NewsFlash Preditor has the ability to perform cuts-only editing and build a timeline with low-resolution proxy clips. NewsFlash Preditor also has audio tools, including the ability to edit audio, control levels and channel panning, and record voiceovers.
The product consists of three components: a server, one or more encoders and the client application. After creating a low-resolution sequence using NewsFlash Preditor, the Leitch Nexio server creates a high-resolution, broadcast-ready clip.
