San Mateo, Calif.-based Entone Technologies has launched its new approach to managing VOD assets.
The Entone Armada is a VOD content distribution system designed to reduce operating expenses to 60 percent, compared to manual techniques, the company reports. Armada distributes assets in real-time to optimal storage, server or network-based on real-time usage data. The system makes adjustments to storage assignments so that every storage device is full used with the right balance of stream capacity to storage space.
