Axia announces ultra-compact version of Element console
By TVTechnology published
Axia, makers of the Element modular console series, has announced the introduction of a mini-Element line, offering extremely small footprints suitable in news booths, dubbing stations and as workstation mixers. Element control surfaces are now available in sizes ranging from 40 faders down to just two, allowing broadcasters to specify exactly the right unit for the space available.
The new Element 2-Fader+Monitor module combines two fader strips with alphanumeric displays and a comprehensive two-space monitor/options section. The new unit fits into a single four-position hardware module. Features include automatic mix-minus and dedicated talkback functions on all faders, one-touch record mode for fast off-air recording, three-band parametric EQ, onboard Omnia voice processing tools and instant settings recall. The system uses standard Ethernet networking via Cat 6 cable.
Axia plans to ship the new two-fader version of element during Q3 of 2007, and will debut the new unit at NAB2007.
