At the show, SeaChange will unveil the MediaLibrary 1G, based upon Intel’s Dual-Core Xeon 5100 series processors. The system’s clustered network attached storage technology provides up to 500 TB of open, shared file storage and backup broadcast-quality streaming from a single platform, eclipsing the constrained, traditional storage area networking and other NAS approaches to bulk storage.

“SeaChange is firmly dedicated to providing television broadcasters worldwide with technology solutions that address today’s challenges while offering a clear, reliable migration path to HD workflows at any level,” said SeaChange Vice President of Broadcast Sales Chris West. “No matter the scope of the application--from single-channel systems to highly complex tapeless, multichannel operations--we can provide a solution that both makes sense now and can scale to meet the demands of the future.”

The company will also showcase its MediaClient 6000 series codecs to solve SD challenges today and establish an HD-powered transmission server for an economical migration path from SD. The MediaClient harnesses the power of 5100 series processors to drive bitrates up to 80 Mbps with MPEG-2 4:2:2 Long GOP, bringing superior picture quality ideally suited for HD play-to-air.

SeaChange is also highlighting its Broadcast MediaLibrary BML6000ex and BML24000ex transmission storage systems. Seamlessly integrated with SeaChange’s MediaClient, the MediaLibary/MediaClient combination forms the SeaChange Broadcast MediaCenter, which ensures highly reliable playout.
