DNF Highlights for NAB

DNF Controls, a producer of control solutions for broadcast, production and graphics equipment, is highlighting a number of products at NAB2007.

The 2044CL Instant Access Clip Controller, able to load and play single clips or a multiclip combination, now has the power to exercise a sequence of clips. The new Sequence Playout Option can run a sequence of up to 20 clips on as many as eight channels, stored in up to 30 sequence lists.

The Analyst RS-422/RS-232 Tester saves time and trouble by quickly isolating and identifying your RS-422 and RS-232 interfaces. Serial communication can now be captured into a non-volatile log file with the Data Logging Option. Able to be captured in both directions, including a timestamp, the log files can be uploaded to a PC for future review and analysis, or distribution to a vendor.

The ST304-DSR1K-T Sports Controller offers VTR-like control of Sony’s DSR-DR1000 DVCAM hard-disk recorder. Users can create, save and load clips for instant replay. The Sports Controller provides simultaneous record and playback, a T-bar for enhanced slow-motion replays, 100 cue points per DSR unit and support for up to two DSR-DR1000s for double record/playback configurations.

To send your commercial breaks out fast, the 3040P-L Playlist Playout Controller provides robust manual control. Play out one or many clips, or stop at the end of a break — the versatility of the 3040P-L is ideal for televised events such as sports or breaking news coverage. Lists may even be edited while playing out, through adding breaks and inserting, erasing or lengthening clips.
