FEMA Offers Two Webinars Ahead of National EAS Test

Got questions about the upcoming national periodic EAS test? FEMA has scheduled two webinars to help.

The first will be offered this Friday, Oct. 16, from 11 a.m. to noon Eastern time. The second is Tuesday Oct. 20 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. ET.

The two webinars will have the same content. The national test itself takes place on Nov. 17.

According to a post shared by the Society of Broadcast Engineers, FEMA’s Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Division will outline the test logistics and provide some best practices to help broadcasters prepare for the national test.
