VCF turns to EVS to edit race coverage
By TVTechnology published
VCF, a member of the MEDIApro group, is using a networked EVS SportServer with its CleanEdit nonlinear editor to assemble daily highlights of the Tour de France.
France Television contracted with VCF to provide mobile editing during all 21 stages of the Tour de France.
The editors use the SportServer with CleanEdit to assemble a highlights sequence during the race while images flow in.
The five- to six-minute sequence airs everyday no more than 10 minutes after the last riders have crossed the finish line. Not only does this single CleanEdit workstation replace what used to be two editing suites, but it also achieves a turnaround that would be impossible if traditional cutting methods were used.
