Radyne’s Tiernan subsidiary has received $1 million in new orders for its HDTV encoders and decoders from a major South Korean television broadcast network.
The orders include the recently introduced HE-4000 HD and HE-4000 SD encoders. The HD version simultaneously encodes both HDTV and SD signals. The HE-4000 SD encodes SD signals but can be upgraded to encode HDTV as well, providing customers with a lower cost but upgradeable alternative.
