Tektronix Expands China Operations

Tekronix has opened a Shanghai, China-based manufacturing facility to expand its presence in the country's test and measurement market. The new plant will initially produce Tek's TDS1000 and TDS2000 digital storage oscilloscopes and will provide additional services in the future.

Tektronix opened its first office in China in 1983 and its first manufacturing facility started in 1992. The company now has 10 locations in China, including sales, service and manufacturing facilities. Markets in the region include government research, telecommunications equipment manufacturing and network deployment, PC's, semiconductors and consumer electronics.
