Sony to showcase new LCD monitors

Sony will highlight its new LMD-1750W 17in and LMD-4250W 42in LUMA professional LCD monitors at NAB2008.

The LMD-4250W offers single-, quad- and multiviewing capability. It has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, a 16:9 aspect ratio and a high contrast ratio.

The LMD-1750W is well-suited for rack-mount, desktop and portable applications and offers a resolution of 1280 x 768 (WXGA).

The new monitors can accept multiple sources, including both video and PC (DVI-D and HD15). They support composite video, Y/C, RGB, component as standard and SDI (D1/HD) as options. In addition to HD15, automatic detection of DVI sources is available as a standard feature.

The monitors also feature Sony’s ChromaTru color processing, which compensates for variations in LCD color levels caused by differences in chromaticity coordinates, color temperature and gamma curves.
