MovieBeam Inc. has selected SkyStream's zBand content delivery platform to deliver the latest movies to its U.S. customers.
Zband is an end-to-end PUSH VOD software platform that ingests, packages, schedules and delivers movies to MovieBeam players in customers' homes. zBand manages the transmission, presentation, and deletion of content on the player. MovieBeam customers can choose from a menu of 100 movies, including new releases and up to 10 new movies automatically delivered each week.

zBand is integrated with Windows Media Digital Rights Management to offer content protection and secure playout options for MovieBeam's movies. zBand also uses its Forward Error Correction, which can repair damaged packets in the distribution and essentially make more network bandwidth available. zBand 5.0 is now available.
