Sinclair to Standardize Graphics on Pinnacle's FXDeko
By TVTechnology published
Sinclair Broadcast Group has selected Pinnacle's networked infrastructure for digital playout and centralized graphics production and distribution.
Sinclair is installing seven FXDdeko II character generators, standardizing the system as its broadcast graphics platform and setting a foundation for its networked graphics operations. Sinclair has been using FXDeko II at its NewsCentral hub in Hunt Valley Md., to provide a centralized graphics source for its stations linked to NewsCentral.
The sale also includes five MediaStream 900si networked storage servers that Sinclair will use as its system for DTV playout and eventual migration to high definition.
Sinclair owns and operates 62 TV stations in 39 markets.
