Broadcasting exec Jon Petrovich has been appointed to lead domestic broadcast operations for The Associated Press.
He worked his way up from rookie reporter in local television news in Louisville, Ky., to executive vice president of CNN, where he served for 15 years.
Most recently, Petrovich was professor and chairperson of the broadcast department at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where he also had served as a visiting distinguished lecturer and on the school's board of advisors in the 1990s.
