Panasonic Drives HD at California Speedway

Panasonic has partnered with California Speedway to upgrade its more than 90 VIP racetrack suites with its Viera lines of plasma and LCD HD panels.

The newly upgraded suites had their debut during the NASCAR West Coast premiere last weekend (Feb. 22–24) at the California Speedway, which concluded with the Auto Club 500 (which had to be rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 25).

Panasonic also said its “Living in High Definition” consumer education truck, which has toured various parts of the United States, was on-site at the raceway in Fontana, Calif., to allow NASCAR fans a hands-on consumer experience with an array of HD products—including 1080p Viera HD monitors, Blu-ray Disc players, home theater systems, HD camcorders and Lumix digital cameras from Panasonic.

The HD products were on display over the weekend in the speedway’s FanZone—including the 103-inch Panasonic Viera plasma display.
