Oxman Takes on CEA Spokesmantle

Jason D. Oxman has been tapped as the new vice president of communications for the Consumer Electronics Association. He takes over the job Nov. 27.

"I am thrilled to welcome Jason to CEA," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA. "Jason will be a valuable asset to CEA as we continue to grow the consumer technology industry."

Oxman is currently the managing director of Law Media Group LLC, a public affairs firm that provides communications and strategic counsel to Fortune 100 companies.

He previously held senior policy and communications roles at CompTel, Covad and the FCC. Before joining the FCC, he served as a law clerk to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. He is a former journalist and has worked as a radio reporter and anchor. Oxman holds bachelor's from Amherst College, a master's in mass communication and a juris doctor from Boston University.
