The San Diego Padres baseball team has ordered the Nucomm CamPac wireless camera transmit system to cover events between innings, the pre-game show and as an adjunct camera to their four triax cameras.
The compact and lightweight CamPac features a low delay (less than 100ms), 250 MW output power and is equipped with a 6.5 dB omnidirectional antenna.
"The first priority was the ability to cover the ballpark and plaza areas, we were able to do that in 16 QAM and very low delay," said Hendrik Jaehn, video maintenance engineer for the entertainment/production division of the baseball team.
