Network Electronics to introduce multimode-compatible HD fiber optics
By TVTechnology published
Network Electronics will unveil a full range of multimode-compatible modules at IBC2006 that optimize the use of multimode fiber for the transport of HD-SDI and Gb Ethernet signals.
The new Flashlink multimode fiber product range includes 16-channel Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM) and two-channel Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) fiber-optic products. All optical modules support data rates up to 622Mb/s, making them suitable for HD-SDI, ASI and Fast Ethernet.
Network Electronics will also highlight the new GYDA-SC MKII monitoring card for the Flashlink optical transport and signal processing system. In addition to providing control of up to eight Flashlink frames and standard 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface with TCP/IP protocol for control via a Web browser, the GYDA-SC MKII accommodates router control. As a result, users can combine routing, transport and processing under a unified graphical user interface.
