AVC developer Modulus Video has opened a new office in Tokyo, Japan.
An increased demand in satellite, telecommunications and cable service providers for MPEG-4 AVC were all factors in the opening of the new office, according to the company.
The new office will house the sales and support groups for the Modulus Video product links, including its ME1000 AVC SD encoder, MD1000 AVC SD decoder and the upcoming ME6000 AVC HD encoder.
Modulus, based in Sunnyvale, Calif., also has offices in Europe.
