Mitsubishi ships first 1080p DLP HDTV

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America has introduced its HD 1080p television sets featuring DLP technology from Texas Instruments.
Last week, Mitsubishi delivered its 52in WD-52627, 1080p DLP HDTV to select Southern California retailers. National distribution of the WD-52627 will begin over the next few weeks.
The company plans to also introduce three 73in 1080p DLP models (WD-73727, WD-73827 and WD-73927). Mitsubishi will ship nine 1080p DLP models this summer and fall, ranging from 52- to 73in.
