Marcellus Alexander to Head Up NAB TV Department

Marcellus Alexander Jr., former vice president and general manager of KYW in Philadelphia, has been named executive vice president of the NAB TV Department. Alexander replaces Chuck Sherman, who is taking over full-time duties as head of the NAB Education Foundation.

"[Alexander's] career accomplishments in broadcasting, connections in the industry and commitment to localism and community service will serve him well in his new role at NAB," said NAB President Eddie Fritts.

Alexander echoed Fritts' dedication to communities and said he "cannot think of a more exciting place to be than in a leadership role at the NAB TV Department," notably because of the challenges and opportunities broadcasters face as they transition to digital.
